Hello!

My name is Zach Daugherty. I am a senior majoring in Supply Chain and Sales Engineering Technology. I am from Huntington, Indiana and have a passion for leading, inspiring, and motivating people. I have an entrepreneurial mindset and love being creative. In my free time I like to buy and sell sports trading cards, travel, play basketball, and hang out with family. Throughout this page, I will highlight some projects I have completed in my undergrad, my strengths that I continue to improve, relevant work experience, and my business that I have been able to build up throughout high school and college.

Undergraduate Projects

Hammer Project

Check out the hammer I designed in my MET course at Purdue below. During this project I was able to learn a new programming language, C++, and then apply my knowledge in the creation of this hammer. I was also able to partake in the milling, drilling, sanding, ect. processes where I was able to shape my hammer to the way it is. I learned how to not only use a lathe machine, but how to program a CNC machine and create this final product.

Future of Rail Transportation Research

In my advance supply chain transportation class, I was able to do extensive research on the future of rail transportation and its benefits. I was able to find future innovations around safety and efficiency that will keep rail transportation prevalent in the future. Work Experience 

2022 Jabil - Information Technology Intern

My internship experience at Jabil was full of learning and a great experience. I was able to work on a six-sigma project and involved in the process of collecting data making flow charts. Also, I had the great opportunity of leading a real project with a customer and work with a small team to get our system and the customers system talking to each other. 

2020 Rich Roofing - Roofer

During my time at Rich Roofing, I was able to learn the valuable skill of hard work and showcase my skills on the roof day in and day out. I was able to work fulltime during the day, and then play summer baseball at nights because I was still trying to play professionally during this time.

My passion for business in high school, and busy schedule playing sports in high school led me to creating my own way of making money by buying, selling, and trading sports cards. I began by creating a social media page on Instagram in order to build up customers and make more sales. Throughout my time building up this business, I was able to acquire unique skills such as hard work, marketing, communicating, market research, use of data analytics, and more.
